These handcrafted copper lighter covers combine industrial durability with artisanal elegance. These lighter covers were created in collaboration with Bane Society and Therese Kuempel. Therese Kuempel is a jewelry and accessory designer based just outside of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012 where she studied sculpture, metalsmithing, and both large and small scale metal casting. Over the past decade, she has handmade each piece with love in her home-based studio with the intention to create well-crafted designs that are both unique and empowering.
Designed to fit standard BIC lighters, each sleeve is crafted from copper that develops a rich, individual patina over time. The centerpiece of each cover is a set cabochon stone, elevating a daily necessity into a stylish, statement accessory.
Stone Options:
Lapis Lazuli: This deep-blue, metamorphic rock, sometimes featuring specks of pyrite, offers a luxurious, intense blue accent. It contrasts beautifully with the warm orange-red tones of copper, providing an elegant and mystical aesthetic.
Jade: Known for its smooth, polished finish and shades ranging from olive to deep green, jade adds a calming, natural elegance to the copper holder. It brings a touch of classic, earthy, or bohemian style.
